Since the beginning of time, people have believed in a supreme being. That belief persists today among people of all faiths, Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Muslim, and Mormon just to name a few.  Even if you don't subscribe to a particular faith, most people still believe in something.  And in fact, non-believers hold to their truth, that there is nothing to believe in at all.
